Sandra
Crowe delivers over 150 presentations a year to corporate, federal, and
association based organizations. Her purpose is to create awareness of
ineffective behaviors and to provide methodologies and action steps to offset
them while redirecting behavior toward more uplifting interactions between
people.
Some of her past clients include The Departments of Navy, Army, Justice,
Transportation, Health and Human Services, The Executive Office of the
President, Sony Corporation, Sears, The National Association of Plumbing-Heating-Contractors,
National Association of Female Executives, and Union Labor Life Insurance.
She founded a communications/networking specialty company called
"Powerlunch" which has been written up in both The Washington
Post and The New York Times. The story of how this company began
is featured in the book Chicken Soup for the Soul at Work. In
addition, she has hosted her own television show called "Stress
Busters" which was broadcast weekly on Washington, D.C. Cable
Television.
Ms. Crowe holds a B.A. Degree with Honors from the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill in International Studies and an M.A. in Applied
Psychology from the University of Santa Monica. She is a certified MBTI(Myers
Briggs Type Indicator) practitioner and a guest instructor at Montgomery
College. She has been an active member of the Federal Training Officers'
Conference, and the program director for the National Capital Speaker's
Association.

Overview: This seminar is designed to outline the successful elements
of dealing with difficult people and situations of all types, whether they
are customers or colleagues and focus on eliminating barriers. They include:

lecture, and group work. This mixed blend will provide for an active learning

Description:
This course will allow participants to define, explore, and explain how their
specific MBTI personality indicator personality works for and against them
and what they can do to compensate for perceived weaknesses. Participants
will also have the opportunity to evaluate how their job requirements line up
with their personality types to define areas of incompatibility and
compatibility and solutions to areas of incompatibility. Method will include
self-evaluation, lecture, discussion, role-playing, and interactive group
exercises.

One Hour:
This dynamic one hour presentation focuses on understanding the basic types
of difficult people including the passive and aggressive and the inherently
difficults. It includes a 6 step technique on how to handle the
"Apes" assertively and some basic principles on how to handle any
difficults no matter what. It is fast paced and filled with interaction,
stories, and solutions.
One Day: This information packed day is filled with specifics
on understanding more about the behaviors of the difficult person, learning
techniques for diffusing unacceptable behavior, and keeping yourself from
being manipulated by difficult people. Topics include: The Whole Brain
Approach to Verbal Attacks, Strategies for Reaching Agreement, and Giving and
Receiving Feedback.
Two Day:
Profound understanding and specific results is what the second day of the
course promises. With extra time participants have the opportunity to delve
deeply and experiment with strategies for dealing with their difficults.
